07/05 - Hot Dog Pizza Crust

What madness is this??
We got this from Dominos yesterday with their midweek rescue service deal (50% off orders between 4-6pm mon-fri) and ever the random blogger I thought I'd review it for you guys. The crust is an additional £2.50 but unlike the other special options I think this warrants the extra cost as it really does add substance rather than just flavour. There's the option of the hotdog with or without mustard.. We went with but it was a lot and it encroached on to the pizza itself so I'd probably go without next time. Unfortunately I accidentally ordered BBQ sauce as a base rather than regular tomato so the fact I felt a little sick after probably had more to do with that but it kind of tarnished the experienced. I'm not sure I'd get it again but it's definitely more filling and I reckon a large pizza would feed four with the extra in the crust so I'd recommend it if you have people round but otherwise.. I didn't really appreciate it.

06/05 - The Sims 4

That's right ladies and jellybeans, The Sims 4 is coming! It was officially announced today and there are already threads popping up all over the place with both EA info and fan speculation.. Isn't it exciting? I've been playing since the original game more than 10 years ago (closer to 15 actually) and I did assume I would grow out of it once I had a real house and children of my own but sure enough at 27 I could still lose days to the sims. If you're a fellow player you'll be equally as excited by the news that it's coming in 2014 and we will have lots of leaks to look forward to in the coming months.. Yay!

05/05 - Bud' But Better!

I blogged about this beer over on my beauty blog today so this may be overkill but it's pretty darn good and I thought you should know. Lee is not a lager lover but even he said it was "drinkable" - that's 5*s from him! It's "lightly carbonated" so not as fizzy which I didn't think I'd like but its easier to drink and it's sweeter too. I generally prefer Budweiser as I think it's pretty sweet as it is but this brew just has a little something extra without being sickly like some of the new fruity ciders. I picked up a four pack for a bargainous £2.50 on offer at Asda so if you're interested now is the time to try.. It will be my summer tipple that's for sure!

04/05 - May The Fourth Be With You!

Always gives me a giggle, sorry! We went to the cinema today to watch Wreck It Ralph.. One of the best kids films I've seen in ages! They do a great deal at Cineworld (they have a similar scheme at Vue too) where you can take the kids to a 10am showing every weekend (every DAY during school hols) for just £1.50 each. I've mentioned it in vlogs before and had do many questions about it so I thought I'd explain. The films are older, you're never going to see a new release in this the slot but it's still a great deal. Our tickets cost £4.50 in total and I spent £18.50 on food haha.. Isn't it always the way. If you have lots of kids or they're of the age where they're not going to sit still and you're likely going to spend half the time chasing them back to their seat it's great! I believe Vues ticket price is currently £1.75! And they often have the same films as cineworld but the difference at our local cinemas is that vue offers only one film every couple of weeks where as cineworld has several to choose from every week so we prefer it but see what's in your area. Oh and if you book online with cineworld you get an extra 10% off and no booking fee!

02/05 - New Car!

Last night we put a deposit down in a new car, yay!! We've been saving for a few months and in that time Lee has seen so many he's liked "if we only had the money now". When we finally did have the cash there seemed to be nothing that fit the bill until one he saw weeks ago suddenly became available again. If you've bought a used car you'll know it's hard to know what secret horrors the owner may not disclose but we're so lucky to have found one that's obviously been looked after. To say Lee is happy would be the understatement of the century.. We've had a crappy old hand me down car for so long now he's waited a long time for something nice which is why this year we sacrificed a week away so he could finally upgrade.. Now we've got one we can swap our browsing from autotrader to expedia!
